SEASONAL STUDIO ASSISTANT

We’re hiring a studio assistant for the fall in anticipation of our busiest season. This role is in Toronto, Canada. 

Details

Wage: $20/hr 

Skill Level: Beginner/Entry level

Frequency: 6-8 hours/week, 2-3 weekdays (no weekends). 

Duration: Until Dec 22, 2026

Location: King West (King x Spadina), Toronto

Role Includes:

• Set the studio for order making

• Make order straps (Cut straps to length, bartack hardware, assemble straps)

• Thread sergers correct colours for orders

• Help setting up product listings for launches

• Packup and QA

• Clean studio (200 sq ft, entails vacuuming, sweeping, and organization)

• Help with photoshoots/social content (separate pay rate for photo shoot days)

• Prepare order ‘bags’

• Pattern labeling, seam allowance, tracing onto cardstock 

• Unbox shipments and sort

• Note any supplies that need to be reordered 

Necessary:

• Thread & operate a serger 

• Operate a lockstitch machine/sewing machine

• Cannot have nails that will snag on things like silks, fine tulles or laces, etc

• Learn about an industry (lingerie) that’s quite difficult to get into 

• Can likely work around your existing schedule 

• Our studio is a 5 minute walk from some of Toronto’s best coffee shops

• Really close to a lot of good restaurants 

• Have your questions about the lingerie industry answered

• Learn about small business ownership, lingerie making, etc

• Become familiar with Shopify’s backend interface
